Gina PetroneWith an abundance of fire roads and acres of property, dirt riding was always a past time in my hometown. Most of my friends owned bikes and would ride regularly. I on the other hand had my first and last experience when I hurled myself and my friend's Honda into a barbed-wire fence at the age of eleven. Growing up in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Northern California I lived in a predominant motorcyclist's destination. The scenic roots of Hwys 49 and 88 brought visitors from all over the state. As a youth these large groups of motorcyclists made quite the impression as they would line up their bikes on downtown's main street. Shortly after moving to San Francisco I purchased my first bike, a 1972 Honda CL350 Scrambler. It had been non-op for many years and became a labor of love to get her roadworthy. After a few months she was back in action ready to brave the notorious hills of San Francisco. We have been exploring the city together ever since. Werkstatt continues to aid me in furthering my knowledge of motorcycles and immersing myself in the culture that accompanies them. So, whether you are a newer rider looking to start a relationship with a repair shop, or someone interesting in customizing their bike, come on down and say hello!
