Daniel Konow: head technician
Hi, my name is Daniel Konow, and I have been with the Werkstatt team for several years now, at first part time, and now full time as head technician.

I'm original from Germany, where it all started at the age of 11 with the simplest internal combustion engine available: a 3.5cc, 1.5 hp two stroke diesel running on vegetable oil. I transplanted this 30.000rpm miracle into a dune buggy, a plane and a speedboat -- all remote controlled.

At age 13 I got a moped or better a wooden crate filled with a million parts -- three months later it was on the road: 50 cc and a modified top speed of 35mph -- and a first contact with law enforcement officers (15mph was allowed). What followed were 80 cc scooter and enduros till age 18 when the German laws allowed 'unlimited' engine size and hp.

I’ve been riding various brands and styles of motorcycles from a Vespa Rally 200 to BMW K100RT and sport bikes like a Kawi ZX6R. Enduros/Singles are my passion though: Simple, light, powerful, torquey and fun.

I am BMW factory trained and certified Mechanic in Germany and have been focusing on two-wheelers professionally for about 5 years now.
